The creation and ongoing drama of Prosperity Rise created by aerisblue 2000

As a huge Sims2 fan, I was looking for a challenge, something to spice up my gameplay. Whilst trawling through sites on the internet, I came upon some podcasts which detailed the Prosperity Challenge. The site can be found at http://www.talkshoe.com/talkshoe/web/talkCast.jsp?masterId=5905, and is hosted by Rachel Ziese-Lecy. The casts provided all the information and incentive I needed to attempt the challenge, but more importantly to expand my internet and computer skills by documenting my progress. So here it is, Prosperity Rise; I hope you will continue to log on and witness the chaos and drama, success and inevitable failures, as the neighbourhood grows and expands.

This initial post is really about introducing the four CAS families who will act as both pioneers and guinea-pigs during the first few seasons in their new locality.

The Docherty Family from the left

Val-Elder-Romance-Gemini-LTW:Become Hall of Famer

Kathleen-Adult-Popularity-Leo-LTW:20 Simultaneous Best Friends

Sinead-Adult-Family-Libra-LTW:Have 6 Grandchildren

Padraig-Adult-Pleasure-Aquarius-LTW:Become Professional Party Guest

Sean-Elder-Family-Virgo-Reach the Top of the Education Career Track

The family are Irish in origin, and have family ties in place. Val is the father of Padraig, whilst Sean's children are the sisters Sinead and Kathleen. From the snapshot it's clearly evident that Sinead and Padraig are married.

The Richards Family from the left

Michael-Toddler-Capricorn

The adult holding Michael was a placeholder sim, and is not a permanent part of this family

Thomas-Child-Aries

Melissa-Teenager-Romance-Aquarius-LTW:20 Simultaneous Lovers

I think this family are going to be a challenge, as I've never started a household without an adult on the premises. Hopefully the Social Worker will not visit, and Melissa can fulfill the role of parent. I just wish she's been a Family sim, as I'd have held out more hope for success! Incidentally, the three are siblings.

The Gallagher Family from the left

Justine-Teenager-Fortune-Scorpio-LTW:Become Chief of Staff

Aaron-Toddler-Scorpio

The adult holding Aaron was a placeholder sim, and is not a permanent part of this family

Juliette-Child-Cancer

David-Elder-Family-Leo-LTW:Become Captain Hero

As soon as the family arrived in the neighbourhood, David was appalled when his daughter left her three offspring, and just vanished without trace. David has vowed to get the family through this difficult time, and wants Justine to have the opportunity to attend college; something she may well have had to forego if he had abandoned them as well as their Mother.

The Harrison Family from the left

Jacob-Toddler-Gemini

Sarah-Elder-Popularity-Libra-LTW:Own 5 Top Level Businesses

Rachel-Adult-Romance-Cancer-LTW:Woo-Hoo 20 Different Sims

Noah-Adult-Knowledge-Taurus-LTW:Become Mad Scientist

Elliot-Child-Taurus

Rebecca-Teenager-Knowledge-Aquarius-LTW:Reach Top of Gamer Career Track

Sarah was pleased when her daughter married Noah, and is now the proud Granparent of three wonderful grandkids. Rachel is happy to pursue a career, safe in the knowledge that Sarah is there to nurture the family when she's not around. It beats hiring a Nanny anyday!

I shall be playing the families in a four sim day rotation, and will update after each round of play. Thanks for viewing my first ever blog entry, and here's hoping you like it enough to come back.

That's all for now folks, good luck everyone with their challenges,

Sounds like fun--keep us posted! Love your names!

I just started learning to blog my sims a few months ago (I'm 46) and it gets a lot easier as you go along. It really keeps you motivated!

Lucky you - a house with no adults AND a toddler. Those are always a challenge, but on the other hand, it makes accomplishments (like finishing homework :)) a little sweeter. I look forward to seeing how you do with your families!
